In 1956, the shipping company and shipyard G\u00f6tz KG in Neckarsteinach had purchased the reversible RH 335-SU ship engine (310 hp\/500 rpm) from MWM to replace the ship&#8217;s previous engine.<\/p>\n<p>In November 2020, we discovered the ship engine that had been extracted during the scrapping of the wrecked ship in an elderly gentleman&#8217;s engine collection in Radeburg near Dresden. The discovery happened just in time, as the collection was to be dissolved. Actually, nobody really wanted the huge ship engine. So we were able to purchase it at scrap value.<\/p>\n<p>After a thorough inspection of the engine, the decision was made to restore this now 65-year-old ship engine to working condition. The plan is to add the operable ship engine to our collection of historical machines.
