However, decentralized power generation with combined heat and power plants (CHP plants), provides for significant energy savings in this market segment, too.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Exquisa manufacturer Karwendel-Werke successfully relies on a block heat and power plant (CHP)\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mwm.net\/files\/upload\/image\/0564_2_bhkw_milchwerke_exquisa.jpg\" alt=\"Exquisa manufacturer Karwendel-Werke successfully relies on a block heat and power plant (CHP)\" \/> <em>Exquisa manufacturer Karwendel-Werke successfully relies on a block heat and power plant (CHP) equipped with MWM gas engines<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">In a bid to benefit from this trend, the Karwendel-Werke Huber GmbH &amp; Co. KG, manufacturer of the popular fresh cheeses Exquisa and Miree has now implemented a CHP multi-module concept with three 600kW <a title=\"Gas Engines, Gas Generators &amp; Gensets\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mwm.net\/en\/gas-engines-gensets\/\">gas engines<\/a> from MWM.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">In so doing, the Buchloe, Germany-based company covers approximately 70 percent of the electricity and 45 percent of the heat required in the production from in-house generation, thus achieving significant cost savings. In 2012, a direct return of \u20ac 1.8 million was achieved with the CHP plant.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"MWM gas engine in the new CHP of Karwendel-Werke\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mwm.net\/files\/upload\/image\/0694_2_bhkw_gasmotor_exquisa.jpg\" alt=\"MWM gas engine in the new CHP of Karwendel-Werke\" \/><br \/>\n<em>MWM gas engine in the new CHP of Karwendel-Werke<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe investment in our own <a title=\"Combined heat and power (CHP) plants\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mwm.net\/en\/distributed-power-plants\/\">cogeneration plant<\/a> has paid off even more rapidly than we had initially budgeted for,\u201d said Josef Scheuermeyer, technical director at Karwendel-Werke Huber GmbH &amp; Co. KG. \u201cEverything went perfectly during implementation.
