{"id":13332,"date":"2013-01-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-01-16T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.home\/?page_id=13332"},"modified":"2021-07-08T14:53:55","modified_gmt":"2021-07-08T12:53:55","slug":"australia-brewery-in-geelong-runs-two-mwm-tcg-2016-engines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mwm.net\/en\/news\/news-releases\/australia-brewery-in-geelong-runs-two-mwm-tcg-2016-engines\/","title":{"rendered":"Australia: Brewery in Geelong runs two MWM TCG 2016 engines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mannheim, January 17th, 2013<\/p>\n<p>The Little Creatures Brewery in Geelong, Australia has awarded a contract to supply and install a 1200 kW gas-fired cogeneration plantto Simons Green Energy.<\/p>\n<p>The cogeneration plant is made up of two off-sized gas engines, one 800 kW in capacity and the other 400 kW, which allows for greater modulation of output, according to Simons. The plant\u2019s reciprocating gas engines are supplied by MWM.<\/p>\n<p>Combined heat and power (CHP) plants have a total efficiency of 85 per cent, as compared to the 25\u201330 per cent efficiency of grid-supplied electricity, according to EcoGeneration.<\/p>\n<p>The installation of the cogeneration system will significantly reduce the brewery\u2019s energy usage and carbon emissions.
