What a TCG 3016 Can Do in an Hour
TCG 3016: Power from Distributed Energy Generation for a Higher Quality of Life. The TCG 3016 introduces a new generation of gas engines. The newly developed MWM gas engines combines reliability, robustness, and maximum efficiency with a unique design. The series also stands out with its greatly reduced installation and operating costs. The output of up to 800 kWh, which the TCG 3016 produces in just one hour, is especially impressive. For comparison: Under normal conditions, a smartphone consumes about 3.9 kWh of electricity a year. In just one hour, the TCG 3016 thus produces enough power to charge a mobile phone for about 205 years. An average computer that is used for four hours a day consumes about 200 kWh a year. In about 15 minutes, the TCG 3016 thus generates enough power to run a PC for a year.
On average, how many electrical appliances can be powered with 1.000 kWel? Depending on the power rating, this amount is sufficient to run about 8,000 TVs, 25,000 light bulbs (40 W) or 250,000 LED lamps (4 W), 500 washing machines, 100 electric stoves (all functions switched on), or 47 instantaneous water heaters (21 kW). An average home without any special requirements such as electric water heating or heat pump needs a connection of about 20 kW. Accordingly, 1 MWel is enough to supply 20 average homes at the same time or even more under consideration of the utilization factor. Yes, a megawatt goes a long way!
