Trigeneration in the City of London
E.ON relies on combined heat, power and cooling solutions (CHPC or trigeneration) from MWM for the London "Citigen" project and awards Edina UK Ltd a contract to replace the existing CHPC gas engines.
E.ON awards Edina UK Ltd a contract to replace the gas engines in its combined heat, power and cooling plant (CHPC or trigeneration) as part of the "Citigen" project in the City of London.

For this purpose, two new, highly-efficient MWM TCG 2032 V16 gas engines are being installed; two more are intended to follow. Each genset is coupled with an 11-kV AC generator. The natural gas-driven MWM TCG 2032 V16 gas engine can produce up to 4.4MWe in output and is known for its ruggedness, reliability, high efficiency and low running costs. The gas engines are anticipated to be commissioned by the beginning of 2015.

E.ON's Citigen system is located in a central power plant near Smithfield Market in the City of London. It supplies ten properties of the City of London Corporation with heat and warm water via an underground pipeline network.
