Clinico Medical Sp. z o.o. in BÅ‚onie, Poland, is one of the largest production sites of the international Fresenius Kabi Group. Clinico Medical Sp. z o.o. manufactures disposable plastic products that are used to administer drugs and special food as well as for transfusion technology. In view of the high demand for cold water to cool the production machinery and the resulting high energy consumption for the cooling processes, the Polish MWM distributor Centrum Elektroniki Stosowanej CES Sp. z o.o. has once again installed an energetically and economically efficient trigeneration system.
The first CHP plant was already installed in 2016. The system is operated with an MWM TCG 2020 V12 gas engine with an electrical output of 1,200 kW and a thermal output of 1,210 kW. A second CHP plant was commissioned in early 2020 and, together with the system already installed, fully covers the plant’s cooling needs. Another TCG 2020 V12 gas engine with an electrical output of 998 kW and a thermal output of 1,126 kW was installed in this CHP plant.
