Stadtwerke Duisburg , Germany
The large-scale CHP plant of Stadtwerke Duisburg, which has received an award from the trade journal Energie & Management, uses seven MWM gas engines to produce electricity and heat for the city’s energy and district heating supply. The highly flexible plant is also hydrogen-capable and supports the city of Duisburg in generating climate-neutral energy in the future.
Brandýsko Power Plant, Brandýs nad Labem, Czech Republic
TEDOM installed a packaged TCG 3016 V12 as part of a modernization program of the district heating system in the city of Brandýs nad Labem-Stará Boleslav, Czech Republic.
Avacon Natur GmbH, Germany
The power plant of the energy provider Avacon Natur GmbH in Lüneburg, Germany, is equipped with a cogeneration power plant, which is driven by an MWM TCG 2032B V16 gas engine.
Wernigerode’s municipal utility, Germany
Wernigerode’s municipal utility has commissioned its new energy station, whose core comprises two natural gas-fired cogeneration power plants, each of which is equipped with a powerful MWM TCG 2020 V12 gas engine. The modern combined heat and power (CHP) plant supplies buildings in the city as well as the Harzklinikum Dorothea Christiane Erxleben hospital with climate-friendly energy.
Iberdrola, Spain
In March 2020, MWM Spain received an order for the operation and maintenance of 10 MWM TCG 2032 V16 gas engines in Spain. The gas gensets support the utility provider Iberdrola’s goal of eventually becoming carbon-neutral.
Conrad Energy, Great Britain
MWM distributor Edina has rolled out a flexible distributed power generation project for the energy provider Conrad Energy in the UK. The new gas power plant, which runs with 10 MWM TCG 2020 V20 gas engines, is used to secure the power supply in the event of fluctuations in the national power grid.
Shema Power, Lake Kivu, Rwanda
Lake Kivu in Rwanda provides ideal conditions for an unusual energy project. Using the methane from the lake, the 19 MWM TCG 2032B V16 gas engines of the newly built plant will be able to produce energy and supply the central African country with heat and power for around 50 years.
