MWM has rolled out projects of all sizes around the globe, installing small biogas gensets as well as power plants with an output of more than 50 MWel.
With the cogeneration power plants driven by MWM gas engines, the Tychy Aquapark in Poland generates heat and power for the operation and heating of the swimming pool.
A MWM TCG 3016 V16 gas engine with an electrical output of 800 kWel was installed in the Ankara Çankaya Hospital in the Turkish capital. Ankara Çankaya Hospital is part of the Memorial Healthcare Group. Together with the Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital in Istanbul, the two hospitals save around 400,000 euros a year in electricity and heating costs.
In the context of a modernization project, the Central Landfill Emscherbruch (Zentraldeponie Emscherbruch; ZDE) in Gelsenkirchen in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region has been equipped with three new MWM TCG 3016 V12 gas engines.
By replacing the engines of its biogas plant locations with eight containerized MWM cogeneration power plants and MWM TCG 3016 gas engines, the agricultural company Gebrüder Nooren GbR has doubled the installed electrical output of the existing plants.
BG Biogas Service GmbH operates a biogas plant in the Alb-Danube region in both Langenau and Seligweiler, each with a cogeneration power plant and a satellite cogeneration power plant.
The latest MWM TCG 3016 gas genset runs as a field-test plant in Bad Oldesloe. The cogeneration power plant with the electrical output of 800 kW and the thermal output of 826 kW reaches an overall efficiency of 88.1%.
The biogas plant runs on a 50/50 mix of cattle manure from the farm’s dairy cows and corn grown on the fields. In addition to the TCG 3016, a smaller MWM genset with an output of 400 kWel is installed.
