MWM Small Diesel Engine with “Birth Certificate”

A Special MWM Moment of Roland Enderer

In 2016, I was able to enrich my collection of engines with a small MWM diesel engine type KD 15-Z. Previously, it had been used in an oil mill, where it powered the machinery via a pulley on the engine.

I was happy to get this engine, but I was also happy to get something else along with it: To my surprise, the seller of the old MWM engine handed over all original purchase documents to me.
The operator Heinrich Döring had carefully kept all correspondence between him and the MWM sales office.

The documents provide detailed information about the order, delivery, and installation of the engine at the customer. Documents of this kind are very rare.

So, I was pleased to get a “birth certificate” for the old MWM engine I purchased for my collection.
